Zotero is citation management software that is available as a stand-alone desktop application and also as a browser add-on. Since most searches are performed with a browser Zotero provides a seamless way to manage your citations. Zotero is well suited to organize scholarly literature such as books and articles. You can also add PDFs, images, audio, and video files. Zotero allows you to organize, tag, highlight, and add comments/notes about the items. Zotero allows you to create workgroups and share resources online, either with a private group or publicly. One of the many benefits of Zotero is that it is easier to learn and navigate than Endnote, which is a commonly used commercially available citation manager.
