Google Expeditions is a tool to extend learning in and out of the classroom. Expeditions enable virtual field trips that help students see and experience the world in new ways. Students can get in the center of 360-degree photos and 3D scenes with historical importance. Self-guided expeditions enable anyone to explore anywhere. This is a great tool for classrooms and for home use.

Although the full kits allow a classroom to get up and running with Google Expeditions all that’s needed is a web server that allows shared access and the free Expeditions app. To use a smartphone as a viewing device, you must also purchase or make a VR Google Cardboard viewer.
